one time when i was an effective contributor was when we went to the Orkney college and acted out subjects which we chose. my first one was buissness management. we got put into groups of 4 and we had to come up with an idea using a certain amount of money and time. my groups idea was for an Orkney Olympics which would take place at picky. we also said the events, who would take part, refreshments, medals, judges and many other things. also another group came up with the same idea as us.

another time when i was an effective contributor was when me and my thorfinn team won a whitedale visit tournament. i scored 5 on the day and set up many more. my team was me, chris m, jack s, greame m, ryan g, lee w, darren m and another jack s.

i played for Orkney against Shetland in 2007 twice, in the first match we drew 1-1 and i played OK.
in the second game up in Shetland we played very well and won 2-1 and i was very happy because i won man of the match but all i got was a flag with the Shetland football badge on it.
i feel more confident about this because i can play very well and this is a boost to show that i can play well

reflection:this helped me be more confident because i know that if i play well i may well be man of the match again but if i don't then i won't. i play to the best of my abilities in every match now and work to the best of my abilities in every subject .

in kgs we had to produce a history investigation on a certain part of world war 2. i was very happy with it because i put in a lot of interesting information on the subject which was known as operation torch,desert war or the north African campaign. i wrote about 7 pages on it and did nearly the exact same for my modern studies investigation on the favela's. i also completed a maths test a couple of days ago but don't know my score but i hope i did well.

in technical i made a reasonably good shelf in woodwork. i thought it wouldn't turn out very well due to the fact that I'm not very good at technical.it turned out very well but i think i could have done better at it

reflection:i am happy with the work i have done this year i was even surprised at my history investigation marks (both excellent s) my work in all my subjects has improved greatly and i hope to get to the best i can for each of the subjects

my name is Kyran and i go to Kirkwall grammar school,second year,, and i live in Kirkwall.I lived in Penrith 7 years ago but moved up here when i was 6 At the grammar school my Favorite subjects are p.e, history, and biology and chemistry subjects in science, in p.e my favorite part is athletics/sprinting.my least favorite subjects are technical, home EC and computing .i like to play football and I'm in thorfinn fc under-15 & Orkney under 14 teams. my nickname which ive had since primary 3 is kiwi(can't remember how i got it).
once I've left school i plan to be a sports therapist, fitness instructor or personal trainer.
